Hey, I’m India and I’m a visual designer

In the summer of 2013 I began teaching myself Photoshop because of an obsession I had with a band. From there, utilizing the Adobe Creative Suite, I began to explore everything from video editing and post production to gif and motion design to digital painting.

When I’m not designing digitally, I still like to keep my hands busy. Talk to me about knitting or crochet, ask me about my music, or try to beat me in one of my favorite video games.

I pull inspiration from my Asian American heritage and I’m passionate about telling the stories that have been historically overlooked.

Here’s a collection of commissioned work I’ve done. This includes work with various Twitch streamers and online creators and businesses.

Shindigs Twitch Stream Overlays

Twitch streamer, shindigs, commissioned me to create unique background assets for him to use during his streams that matches his overall aesthetic and branding.

The Process

The client gave me a lot of freedom for this project. Because I am familiar with his brand, he trusted me to create something that would suit his needs.

We started by making a mood board together and he gave me his character reference sheet (drawn by @nyrator on twitter/x). From there I put together different references that were either pulled from his previous streams or what I felt matched the brand and began to create different designs. Below are the collection of references and first iterations.

Isaa Merch Designs

For singer and live streamer Isaa, I created visual graphics using art provided for me to put on tshirts, hoodies, and posters.

The Process

The client provided me with art of her character and requested that I use them to create interesting graphics that were unique, but still matching current trends in the online space. Because these graphics are printed media, it posed some fun challenges such as strict dimensions as well as making sure fonts and details were not too small for print. Below are the different iterations of the design.

Logo

I also designed Isaa's logo that can be seen above being used for the clothing tag. It is also used for other branding such as business cards and any other project for requiring visual branding.
